Granzyme B bioluminescence probe (GBLI-2)

Granzyme B is serine protease released by cytotoxic lymphocytes to selectively kill virus-infected and tumor cells.  The novel caged luciferin GBLI-2 is based on mouse granzyme B tetrapeptide IEFD substrate and allows ultrasensitive noninvasive, longitudinal, real-time, imaging of its activity both in vitro and in vivo. It was successfully utilized for imaging of the dynamics of the granzyme B activity and predicting therapeutic efficacy in a syngeneic mouse model of CT26 murine colorectal carcinoma (12).
